As per the regulation, a mandatory seven-day waiting period for mobile number portability (MNP) following a SIM swap or replacement, to curb fraudulent activities involving SIM card manipulation and mobile phone fraud.
Digital Bharat Nidhi: The Department of Telecommunication releases draft rules seeking public feedback
The Ministry of Communication issued the draft Telecommunications (Digital Bharat Nidhi) Rules, 2024. The draft highlights the definition of administrator, the Powers and Functions of the administrator and the provisions of the Funding from the Digital Bharat Nidhi.
