Krishi 24/7 establishes a mechanism for leveraging artificial intelligence for efficient agricultural news monitoring. The tool scans agricultural news articles in multiple languages and translates them into English, extracting crucial information such as headline, crop name, event type, date, location, severity, summary, and source link.
Extension of last dates to receive comments and counter comments on TRAI’s Consultation Paper on ‘Review of Terms and Condition of PMRTS and CMRTS Licenses’
Keeping in view the request received from an industry association for extension of time for submission of comments, it has been decided to extend the last dates for submission of written comments and counter comments up to 21.11.2023 and 05.12.2023 respectively. Union Government issues advisory to social media intermediaries to identify misinformation and deepfakes
The intermediaries were reminded that any failure to act as per the relevant provisions of the IT Act in identifying misinformation and deepfake and Rules would attract Rule 7 of the IT Rules, 2021 and could render the organization liable to losing the protection available under Section 79(1) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Implementation of Digital Consent Acquisition (DCA) under TCCCPR-2018
TRAI issued Direction dated 02.06.2023 under TCCCPR-2018 to all the Access Providers to develop and deploy the Digital Consent Acquisition (DCA) facility for creating a unified platform and process to register customers’ consent digitally across all Access Service Providers and Principal Entities.
DGFT launches Centralized Video Conference Facility at its Headquarters
Effective from 08.11.2023, a centralized Video Conference (VC) facility will be available at the DGFT headquarters every Wednesday between 10 am to 12 noon. Senior officers from DGFT HQs shall remain present during these VCs to address the matters which could not be resolved by various DGFT Regional Authorities (RAs) despite concerted efforts.

On requests received from the stakeholders for extension of time for submission of comments on the above-mentioned pre-consultation paper, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submission of comments up to 7th November 2023. No request for any further extension of time for submission of comments shall be entertained.
