Center extends import of Tur and Urad under ‘Free category’ for another year, till 31st March, 2023.

The Government had allowed the import of Tur, Urad, and Moong under the ‘Free category’ w.e.f May 15, 2021, till October 31, 2021, in order to ensure smooth and seamless imports. The Free regime in respect of import of Tur and Urad was thereafter extended till March 31, 2022. This policy measure has been supported with facilitation measures and close monitoring of its implementation by the concerned Departments/organization.

Government of Goa imposes restrictions on liquor sale for the period between 12th February 2022 to 10th March 2022.

The licensed premises having licence for Bar and Restaurant may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only and the Bar counter shall be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to be served on the above mentioned days. The owner of the licensed premises having Bar & Restaurant shall also display a board in the premises stating that no liquor will be served and that only the restaurant is open for serving food.

NCT Delhi New Excise Policy 2021-2022

The holders of HCR licenses for service of liquor are informed that if they desire to migrate to the New Excise Policy 2021-2022, they have to mandatory apply under the category of one single license of L-17 Category.

Goa Excise Duty (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

The permit granted under rule 21 shall be for a period upto five years and it may be renewed by the Excise Inspector under whose jurisdiction the premises is situated, for a period upto five years.
