The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has, as a part of the initiative to revamp its service delivery mechanisms to promote and facilitate foreign trade, has launched a new digital platform on 13th July 2020 to provide services related to the IEC issuance, modification, amendments etc.
DGFT lifts ban on the export of HCQ API & formulation
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade vide its notification dated 18th June 2020 has removed the restriction on the export of both active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and formulation of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ).

CBIC has extended the validity of AEO certificates till 30.06.2020
The Validity of AEO certificates like AEO-T1, AEO-T2, AEO-T3 & AEO-LO has been extended.All the AEO certificates expiring between 01.03.2020 and 31.05.2020 shall remain valid till 30.06.2020, except for those entities against which a negative report is received during this period.
DGFT prohibits export of alcohol-based sanitizers with dispenser pumps
The director-general of foreign trade vide its notification dated 1st June 2020 has prohibited the outward shipment of alcohol-based hand sanitizers in containers with dispenser pump.

CBIC issues an instruction to customs regarding the Requirement of Veterinary Certificate for Import of Milk and Milk Products into India
FSSAI in its earlier notice dated 15th May 2020 has made it mandatory that the consignment of dairy products imported into India shall be accompanied with a veterinary certificate issued by the competent authority of exporting country. CBIC has directed Customs to mandate veterinary certificates for the import of milk and milk products into India.

CBIC extends the relaxation for submission of bond till 15th June 2020 to facilitate trade during the lockdown period
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide its notification dated 11th May 2020 has extended the facility given to businesses to import and export goods without furnishing bonds to the Customs authorities till 15th June 2020. The board has now extended the facility of accepting the undertaking in lieu of bond for the period till May 30, 2020, and as a result, the date of submission of the bond is also temporarily extended till June 15, 2020.
CBIC issues guidelines for Conducting Personal Hearing via Video Calling App
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs in its notification dated 27th April 2020 has issued guidelines and instructions for conducting personal hearing in virtual mode in respect of any proceedings under customs Act 1962 due to covid-19 with a view to adopt measure to ensure social distancing and to reduce physical presence.
