Union Commerce & Industry Minister unveils system based automatic ‘Status Holder’ certificates under Foreign Trade Policy 2023
The exporter will no longer be required to apply to the office of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for a Status Certificate and the export recognition will be provided by the IT system based on available Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCIS) merchandise export electronic data and other risk parameters.
Timeline for availing benefits of the RoDTEP scheme
The existing rates for all the items covered under RoDTEP will be applicable for exports made from 01.10.2023 to 30.06.2024. However, it would be subject to the budgetary framework as provided under FTP 2023 so that the remissions for current financial year are managed within the approved Budget of the Scheme.
DGFT has delisted 32 agencies authorized to issue Certificates of Origin (Non Preferential)
The entities are delisted because they have still not onboarded on the e-CoO platform for issuance of Certificate of Origin (Non Preferential), to complete their on-boarding by 31st August 2023.
CBIC directions for import of Linear Alkyl Benzene
In addition to the prescribed documents required to be submitted with the bill of entry, the importer shall also produce — (i) Test Certificate of the product; (ii) Manufacturer’s Invoice; (iii) Purchase Order or Contract; and (iv) manufacturing process from the manufacturer.
Amendment in Export Policy of Food Supplements Containing Botanicals
This amendment introduces stricter regulations on the export of food supplements containing botanicals to the EU and UK, aiming to ensure the quality and safety of such products for human and animal consumption. The involvement of designated Competent Authorities and accredited laboratories will enhance the scrutiny and verification of these supplements before export.
DGFT clarification regarding Pre-shipment and Post-shipment Export Credit and Packing Credit in Foreign Currency for E-Commerce Exports
It is clarified that “Master Circular Rupee/Foreign Currency Export Credit and Customer Service to Exporters” furnishes a comprehensive framework, allowing for access to Pre-shipment and Post-shipment export credit and Packing Credit in Foreign Currency (PCFC) to all eligible exporters which does not preclude E-Commerce Exporters.
Extension in release of Imported Consignments of Producers of 106 EEE items
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has clarified that the interim arrangement of release of imported consignments of producers of 106 EEE items shall be extended to 15th September, 2023. It may be recalled that CPCB had previously notified that this interim arrangement would be effective till 31st August, 2023.
