Ministry of Coal incentivizes private sector companies for developing coal gasification projects
A provision has been made for a 50% rebate in revenue share for all future commercial coal block auctions for the coal used in gasification purposes provided the coal quantity used for gasification is at least 10% of the total coal production.

It is a Mobile App of the Ministry of Coal for Reporting Illegal Coal Mining and a tool for reporting any illegal coal mining incident through geo-tagged photographs and textual information by any citizen from the place of incidence.
Press Release on Measures taken to attain “Self Sufficiency” in Steel Production
The release elucidates that the government has taken measures to provide and environment of self-sufficiency in steel productions. These measures include the notification of Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel with an outlay of Rs. 6,322 Crore. It aims at promoting the manufacture of specialty in India for domestic use and export by attracting capital investments, amongst others, Make in India initiative and the PM Gati-shakti National Master Plan, amongst others.
The Goa Minor Mineral Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Through this amendment a new rule 22A which deals with the Amount of contribution to be made to the District Mineral Foundation in which Every holder of quarrying lease or quarrying permit or sand permit shall pay to the District Mineral Foundation of the district in which the mining operations are carried on by him, an amount equivalent to five percent of royalty as payable under clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 22.

Through this amendment, the state government under section 64A shall charge simple interest at the rate of 12% per annum by revising its earlier rate of 24% on any rent, royalty or fee, or other sum due to that Government under the Act or these rules or under the terms and conditions of any prospecting licence or mining lease from the sixtieth day of the expiry of the date fixed by that Government for payment of such royalty, rent, fee or other sum and until payment of such royalty, rent, fee or other sum is made.

Revised rates of royalty for minerals
Central Government has amended the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 to revise the RATES OF ROYALTY for minerals.
The Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Amendment Rules, 2022.
Through this amendment, a new formula has been notified which shall be used by Indian Bureau of Mines for arriving at the average sale price of Glauconite and Potash.
