Proposed Changes to Power Grid Connectivity Regulations Under Public Review
The draft regulations aim to further streamline the process of connecting to the national power grid for various entities. This includes changes in withdrawal of applications for connectivity or General Network Access (GNA) and treatment of bank guarantees, minimum capacity requirements, Grant of Connectivity to Renewable Energy Generating Stations (REGS) seeking to get connected to transmission network of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) or other aspects of grid access.
Public Hearing To Discuss Changes To Electricity Grid Code
The CERC has decided to hold a public hearing to discuss the draft of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Indian Electricity Grid Code) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024. This public hearing will be held on August 14, 2024 by video conferencing. The deadline for registering participants to the public hearing is August 12, 2024.
