Kerala PCB adopts the Mechanism/ Guidelines for Control of Pollution and Enforcement of Environment Protection Norms

The Guidelines highlight the major environmental issues related to marriage or banquet halls and party venues. These venues are attributed with the creation of air, water and noise pollution, solid waste problems and public inconveniences due to a lack of adequate infrastructures. To combat these environmental issues the Guidelines set out mechanisms such as installation of Effluent Treatment Plants, effluent discharge norms for hotels, energy conservation measures, solid waste management measures, noise pollution, etc.
