Air Quality Commission directs strict enforcement of dust control measures to curb Air Pollution in Delhi-NCR

The Commission has directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) of Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to constitute surprise inspection teams and to furnish fortnightly inspection reports to the Commission regarding compliance of rules with respect to construction and demolition activities in the National Capital Region.

Kerala PCB decides to install retrofitted device in DG sets to reduce pollution.

Industries and establishments operating DG sets of capacity 500KVA and above within the jurisdiction of the state of Kerala to retrofit all DG sets with emission control device/equipment having a minimum specified particular matter capturing efficiency of at least of 70% in 5 mode D2 cycle for equivalent KVA rating by any one of the five central pollution control board.
