All existing poultry farms having more than 5000 birds shall apply for consent to operate within 3 months
All upcoming poultry farms proposing to have more than 5000 birds shall apply for consent to operate within 120 days.
Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2021
The Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2021 provides that a task force shall be constituted by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) comprising of representative from Ministry of Environment and Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Power, Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and CPCB to categorize thermal power plants in three categories on the basis of their location to comply with the emission norms within the time limit.

Rendering plants shall have consent to operate from PCB under red category to operate. Minimum distance from plant to nearest residential area shall be 100 meters.
