Expression of Interest for Appointment of Knowledge Partner for Healthy and Hygienic Food Street Program

Draft SOP for Lead recycling units desirous of importing lead scrap/lead acid battery scrap

The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has recently issued comprehensive Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the recycling of lead scraps, including scrap lead-acid battery waste, lead acid battery plates, and other lead-based scraps and residues. These guidelines are aimed at ensuring environmentally responsible recycling practices and maintaining the safety and health of workers in the lead recycling industry.

Govt of Delhi bans dealings in Tobacco

The Department of Food Safety of the Govt of NCT of Delhi has issued a notification banning any dealings in Tobacco products till 21st August, 2024. The notification imposes a ban on manufacture, storage, distribution, and sale tobacco products, including gutka, paan masala, flavoured or scented tobacco, kharra and similar products.

Extension in release of Imported Consignments of Producers of 106 EEE items

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has clarified that the interim arrangement of release of imported consignments of producers of 106 EEE items shall be extended to 15th September, 2023. It may be recalled that CPCB had previously notified that this interim arrangement would be effective till 31st August, 2023.

PWPs directed to complete Generation of EPR Certificates

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has directed all Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) to complete Generation of EPR Certificates. The EPR Certificates for sales made in 2022-2023 must be generated on the Centralised EPR Portal for plastic packaging by 31st October, 2023.
