The NMC has observed a recurring problem of payment gateway overloads due to a high volume of transactions on application closing dates. To address this issue and ensure smooth processing, the NMC has implemented the policy that on closing dates, fee payments will only be accepted until 2:00 PM (14:00 hrs).
NMC Launches Its Twitter Handle @NMC_BHARAT
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially launched its Twitter account, offering medical colleges, institutes, and the medical fraternity a new channel for accessing official information. This notice was issued on December 16, 2024 and published on December 20, 2024. The NMC’s Twitter handle, @NMC_BHARAT, will function alongside the existing NMC website as a platform to share circulars, notices, and other relevant updates.
Approval Process For Pharmacy Institutions’ Academic Session 2025-26 Applications
The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced the opening of its portal for pharmacy institutions seeking approval for the academic session 2025-26. From December 18, 2024, to January 15, 2025, existing institutions can apply for continuation of approval, introduction of new courses, raising admissions, or availing specific services through the PCI portal.
NEET UG 2025 Syllabus Released

New Process for Verification of Additional Medical Qualifications in India
Previously, NMC verified qualifications directly with issuing institutions. However, NBEMS has implemented a new online system called the “Credential Verification Online Portal (CVOP)” to streamline this process. The online CVOP system is expected to improve the efficiency and transparency of the verification process for medical practitioners seeking NMC’s AQ certificates.
NMC Warns Against Misleading Communications
The NMC has clarified that only communications formally published on its official website and Twitter handle (@NMC_BHARAT) are considered authentic and enforceable. Any other communications circulating in the public domain, including social media, should be treated with caution and verified through official channels.
NEET-PG 2025 Exam Tentatively Scheduled for June 15th
The National Medical Commission’s Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has announced a tentative date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Medical Courses (NEET-PG) 2025 as June 15, 2025. The PGMEB has also specified that the internship completion date for eligible candidates will be July 31, 2025.
Medical Colleges Get Extension for Annual Declaration Submission with Penalty
Considering the lack of compliance, the NMC has extended the deadline one final time. Medical colleges now have until December 20, 2024, to submit their annual declarations. However, a late submission penalty of Rs. 20,000 (including GST) will be imposed on defaulting colleges.
Indian Nursing Council Recognizes Specific Universities for PhD (N) Qualification
The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has issued a notification specifying the universities whose Ph.D. (Nursing) qualifications will be recognized under Section 10 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947. Only Ph.D. (N) degrees awarded by universities listed in the notification will be considered valid.
Second Special Stray Vacancy Round Announced for BDS & B.Sc Nursing Seats
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) have announced a Second Special Stray Vacancy Round for filling vacant BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) and B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) Nursing seats across India. This round comes after the completion of the Special Stray Vacancy Round held in November and the ongoing State Counselling rounds.
