UGC announces 8th Siddha Day
All Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering Siddha Medical Courses are requested to observe and promote Siddha Day through a variety of events. It is also requested that they may invite key stakeholders, including the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), and the Directorate of Indian Medicine & Homeopathy (DIM & H), to join in celebrating the main Siddha Day event in a grand and impactful manner.

NMC Extends Deadline for MBBS Admission Data Submission Again
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for medical colleges to submit details of first-year MBBS students admitted for the academic year 2024-25. The new deadline is December 10, 2024. This notice was issued on November 22, 2024.
NMC Further Extends Deadline for PG Medical Course Applications
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has once again extended the deadline for submitting applications for starting new Post-Graduate Medical Courses, establishing new PG Institutes, and increasing seats in existing PG medical courses for the academic year 2025-2026. The new deadline for submission of applications is December 10, 2024.

Pharmacists and Institutions Required to Verify Profiles for Integration with National Healthcare System
All registered pharmacists must verify their profiles on the DIGI-PHARMed portal using their ABHA number by January 4, 2025. Non-compliance will result in profile deactivation. Pharmacy institutions are responsible for ensuring their faculty have ABHA-verified profiles on DIGI-PHARMed. Starting from the 2025-2026 academic session, only ABHA-verified faculty profiles will be considered for Self-Inspection Form (SIF) applications.
