Goa SPCB Directs Continuous Monitoring In Industries & Other Establishments
According to GSPCB directions, steel plants in the Red & Orange Category must install Online Continuous Stack Emission Monitoring Systems(OCEMS) and Continuous Ambient Air Monitoring stations by 31st August 2024. Additionally, industries, establishments, hotels, common STPs, commercial establishments, residential complexes, and educational institutions with ETPs of 50 KLD and above, and STPs of 100 KLD and above, must install an online water quality monitoring system by 31st August 2024.

NMC Will No Longer Accept Compensatory Certificates For The Online Classes
To ensure patient safety and maintain high standards in medical care, the UGMEB has will no longer accept Compensation Certificates claiming offline training to compensate for online medical courses. FMGs who completed online coursework must follow the updated internship pathway.

The Higher Education lnstitutions are requested to participate in this initiative. The nominations for this award need to be uploaded on the Rashtriya Puraskar portal i.e., https://www.awards.gov.in. The selected teachers will be felicitated by the Hon’ble President of lndia on 5th September, 2024 in New Delhi. The deadline for nomination for the award is 20th June, 2024.
NMC Makes ABHA ID Mandatory for Patient Registration in Medical Colleges
The NMC has stressed that ABHA ID registration is crucial for NMC’s decision on the prospects of a college and its assessment for the academic year 2025-26 onwards. The NMC also clarifies that no patient will be denied treatment due to lack of an ABHA ID.
April 2024 Anti-Ragging Report Of Dental Colleges
The report indicates a list of defaulter Dental Colleges who have not uploaded the Anti Ragging Report for April 2024 on DCI Anti Ragging Online Module. The list mentions a total of 31 dental colleges across the country who are defaulting in this respect. The said Anti Ragging Report was due from April 30, 2024.
Clarification on Appeal Fees for National Medical Commission (NMC) Appeals
The NMC has now clarified that the previously announced appeal fees are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Therefore, all appellants are required to pay the appeal fee plus GST at applicable rates.
