Pharmacy Institutions To Celebrate Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Day

The Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) is commemorating October 10th, 2024, as Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Day. The PCI has urged all pharmacy institutions to participate in cGMP Day by conducting at least one-hour programs on the topic. Pharmacy institutions are requested to submit photos of their cGMP Day activities to IDMA.

Medical Colleges Required to Submit Annual Reports on PG Medical Courses by October 31st

The MSMER-2023 regulations mandate that medical institutions submit annual reports to ensure they meet the required standards for PG medical education. This process allows for assessment of various aspects, including infrastructure, faculty qualifications, and student support systems. All medical colleges and institutions offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses in India must submit Annual Disclosure Report by October 31, 2024.

INC Extends Deadline For Compliance Reports

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has extended the deadline for institutions to submit compliance reports for the academic year 2024-25. The last date for uploading reports has been extended to October 15, 2024.

PCI Re-iterates Postponement of Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination 2024

This decision was taken due to ongoing discussions within the Health Ministry regarding a proposed change in the scheme by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Once the Ministry approves the changes, further steps will be taken. Candidates who graduated in 2023-2024 will be registered as pharmacists until they successfully pass the Exit Examination.

Process For Application For New Postgraduate Medical Qualifications

Medical colleges and institutes can apply if they want to offer a postgraduate medical qualification not currently listed in Annexures of the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations-2023. Medical colleges and institutes desiring to start a new M.D./M.S., D.M./M.Ch., PDF, PDCC or 6 YEAR D.M./M.Ch. qualification can seek guidance from the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) before submitting their formal application.
