SEBI permits FPIs to write off debt securities.
In view of the requests received from various stakeholders, SEBI has now been decided to permit the FPIs to also write off all debt securities in their beneficiary account which they are unable to sell for any reason.

It has come to the notice of SEBI that some registered debenture trustees are undertaking activities related to unregulated products such as acting as a trustee for digital gold.
