Zero coupon zero principal instruments declared as securities under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956
It is further clarified that “zero coupon zero principal instrument” means an instrument issued by a Not for Profit organization which shall be registered with Social Stock Exchange segment of a recognized Stock Exchange in accordance with the regulations made by the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

Special Economic Zones (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that any Unit authorized to store bullion as the underlying asset for the purpose of issuance of a bullion spot delivery contract or bullion depository receipt with underlying bullion that is traded in a bullion exchange shall be deemed to be in an International Financial Services Centre.

SEBI relaxes fee for arbitration reference under Investor Grievance Redressal Mechanism
In order to Speed up grievance redressal mechanism, it is clarified that a client, who has a claim / counter claim up to Rs.20 lakh (Rs. Twenty lakh) and files arbitration reference, will be exempted from payment of the fees prescribed under circular dated February 23, 2022.
SEBI notifies new format for disclosure of shareholding patterns.
As per the amendment, in the disclosure of public shareholding, names of the shareholders holding 1% or more than 1% of shares of the listed entity is to be disclosed and the Names of the shareholders who are persons acting in concert, if available, shall be disclosed separately.
SEBI extends implementation of Circular on ‘Execution of ‘Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction’(DDPI) for transfer of securities towards deliveries / settlement obligations and pledging / re pledging of securities
The clients are allowed by the circular to use the DDPI or opt to complete the settlement by issuing physical Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS) or electronic Delivery Instruction Slip (eDIS) themselves.
