SEBI approves the proposal to introduce pre-filing of offer document as an optional alternative mechanism for the purpose of Initial Public Offer on the Main Board of Stock Exchanges.
The Board approved the proposal to mandate the issuers coming out with IPO, to make disclosure of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and price per share of issuer based on past transactions and past fund raising done by the issuer from the investors under ‘Basis for Issue Price’ section of the offer document, and in Price Band Advertisement.
SEBI extends two-factor authentication for transactions in units of Mutual Funds.
In case of subscription and redemption of units, Two-Factor Authentication (for online transactions) and signature method (for offline transactions) shall be used for authentication. One of the Factors for such Two-Factor Authentication for non-demat transaction shall be a One-Time Password sent to the unit holder at his/her email/ phone number registered with the AMC/RTA. In case of demat transaction, process of Two-Factor authentication as laid down by the Depositories shall be followed.
The Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) (Amendment) Rules, 2022
As per the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2022, the unit sale price in rupees, rounded off to the nearest two decimal place, shall be declared on every pre-packaged commodities in the following manner.
SEBI issues circular for portfolio managers.
Portfolio Managers with assets under management of INR 1000 crores or more under discretionary and non-discretionary services, shall have in place an automated system with minimal manual intervention for ensuring effective funds and securities management including order management and allocation of securities to each client.
SEBI extends the timeline for implementation of Standardized industry classification by Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs).
Further, as the standardized industry classification will be reviewed and published by Stock Exchanges on periodical basis, in view of same, the Annexure A of Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/CRADT/CIR/P/2022/42 dated April 01, 2022 stands deleted and CRAs are directed to follow the standardized industry classification published by Stock Exchanges from time to time.
SEBI permits participation of Foreign Portfolio Investors in Exchange Traded Commodity Derivatives in India
The participation of FPIs including individuals, family offices and corporates shall be subject to compliance with the provisions of SEBI(Foreign Portfolio Investors)Regulations, 2019, SEBI (Custodian) Regulations, 1996 and other applicable SEBI circulars on ETCDs.
SEBI notifies circular on Credit Ratings supported by Credit Enhancement (CE)
This revised circular shall be applicable to credit ratings of securities that are listed, or proposed to be listed, on a recognized stock exchange, and other credit ratings that are required under various SEBI Regulations or circulars thereunder.
SEBI notifies amendments to guidelines for preferential issue and institutional placement of units by a listed REIT/InvIT.
Through this amendment, no allotment shall be made, either directly or indirectly, to any institutional investor who is a sponsor(s) or manager, or is a person related to, or related party or associate of, the sponsor(s) or the manager.
SEBI issues circular on Modification in Daily Price Limits (DPL) for Commodity Futures Contracts.
Only in the event of exceptional circumstances, where there is extreme price movement, beyond the initial slab of the DPL, in the international markets, during trading hours or after the closure of trading on domestic exchanges, the stock exchanges can relax the DPL directly by the required level, by giving appropriate notice to the market.
Clarification regarding Modalities related to Investment Adviser applications
All the new IA applicants as well as existing IAs are advised to approach BSE Administration and Supervision Limited (BASL) for registration and post registration activities related to Investment Advisers.
