Ministry of Commerce extends the last date for submitting application for scrip based schemes.
In supersession of the existing laid down provisions in the Hand Book of Procedures, 2015-20 with regard to last date for submitting online applications for scrip based claims, the last date for submitting online applications stands revised to 28th February 2022.
DGFT amends the export policy of syringes.
As per the amendment, the export of Syringes with or without Needles falling under HSN code 90183100 or falling under any other HSN code has been put under ‘Free’ category with immediate effect. Earlier, it was under “restricted” policy.
Procedures for application for Tariff Rate Quota

DGFT imposes restriction on Human hair export.
The export policy of human hair, unworked whether or not washed or scoured, waste of human hair or any other form of raw human hair under ITC (HS) Code 0501 has been put under restricted category.
DGFT extends the Date for Mandatory Electronic Filing of Non-Preferential CoO through Common Digital Platform.
Exporters and Issuing Agencies already onboarded are advised to make maximum use of the e-CoO platform for process familiarisation and ease of operations. The issuing agencies are also advised to issue suitable advisories to the members/exporters to register and familiarise with the e-CoO platform before the stated timelines.
DGFT issues clarification regarding Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS).
Based on the request, DGFT has clarified that the re-import of steel for packaging purposes will not be covered under SIMS as it is not primarily meant for value addition, rather being re-imported for packaging only.
Pre-shipment inspection certificate is exempted for import of metallic scrap through Hazira port and Kamarajar port
Import of metallic scrap coming from 6 safe countries can now be permitted from 10 designated ports without Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate.
General Authorization for Export of Chemicals and related equipment under SCOMET List
Application for general authorization shall be submitted through online SCOMET portal along with proforma- ANF 20.
DGFT grants final opportunity for IEC holders to update their IEC details electronically within 31st January 2022.

Enoxaparin is being used for remedial mitigation of Covid associated coagulopathy (CAC). Patients with Covid-19 are at high threat of developing a venous thromboembolism (VTE). Studies have suggested that enoxaparin significantly reduces venous thromboembolism and is also associated with reduced all-cause mortality.
