The notification contains procedure for grant of Prior Informed Consent (PIC) for the import and export of mercury.
Anti-dumping duty on Opal Glassware Imported from UAE and China
Anti-dumping duty shall be effective for five years on opal glassware imported from UAE and China.
DGFT notifies Amendment in minimum registration time period of Non-Ferrous Metal Import Monitoring System.
The importer shall apply for registration before the arrival of import consignment. Registration can be applied not earlier than 60th day before the expected date of arrival. The automatic number thus granted shall remain valid for a period of 75 days.
Revised Export Policy for Wheat Flour (Atta), Maida, Samolina (Rava / Sirgi)
Export of all the shipments approved by IMC shall be allowed subject to issuance of Quality Certificate by Export Inspection Council (EIC) or its EIAs at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.

Previously the import of Cyclanes, cyclenes, cyclohexanes and cycloterpenes was be subject to IS 3470. The requirement for BIS certification for import of ‘Hexane, food grade’ is hereby removed.

CBIC has advised all the Pr. Chief / Chief Commissioners, having jurisdictions over Inland Container Depots (ICDs) to consider having the ICDs within their jurisdictions designated with extended facility of Customs clearance beyond normal working hours
Revised import policy condition for Malonylurea (Barbituric Acids) and its salts
Prior to the amendment, the policy condition required NOC from Narcotics Commissioner, Gwalior for import of such compounds and its salts. This condition is removed by the revised import policy.
DGFT extends the date for mandatory electronic filing of Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (NP CoO) through the Common Digital Platform to 31st March 2023.
However, the exporters and NP CoO Issuing Agencies will have the option to use the online system, the same shall not be mandatory till 31st March 2023. The existing systems of processing non-preferential CoO applications in manual/paper mode are being allowed.
DGFT issues clarification regarding Non- Ferrous Metal Import Monitoring System (NFMIMS).
DGFT has clarified that the information relating to proper quality control order (QCO) description can be treated as optional category in the description filed by importer under NFMIMS. Since the QCO information is optional information therefore, it is not mandatory for the custom officer to check QCO description under NFMIMS. However custom officer has to consider the provisions/rules under other laws of the land at the time of clearing the bill of entries.
