MCA notifies new rule for allotment of new name for an existing company.
A company whose name has been changed, shall at once make necessary compliance with the provisions of section 12( Application for incorporation) of the Act and the statement, “Order of Regional Director Not Complied” shall be mentioned in brackets below the name of company, wherever its name is printed, affixed or engraved, Provided that no such statement shall be required to be mentioned in case the company subsequently changes its name in accordance with the provisions of section 13 of the Act.”
Ministry of Corporate Affairs enlists various measures taken to fight Covid-19 pandemic
The MCA press release clarifies that Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order, 2020 has now been made applicable from the audit of financial statements for the financial year 2021-22 to ease the compliance requirement by auditors and the companies in view of covid 19.
Amendment of consumer protection (e-commerce) rules, 2020 proposed to strengthen the regulatory framework for prevention of unfair trade practices in e-commerce.
The Proposed amendment aims to protect consumers from all forms of misleading advertisements. It requires e-commerce entities to take measures to prevent misleading advertisements on their respective platforms.
Revised eforms MGT-7A and eform MGT-7
MCA publishes the New e-form MGT-7A and revised e-form MGT-7 in line with the Companies (Management and Administration) Amendment Rules, 2021. The forms shall be available for filing under MCA-21 Company forms.

MCA enlists forms for which due date extension and additional fees waiver is granted
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has enlisted the Forms for which due date extension and additional fees waiver is provided by the ministry through Circular no. 11/2021 and 12/2021.
MCA relaxes timeline for intimation of creation or modification of charges
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs through circular dated 30.06.2021 has extended the timeline for filing of all forms (except Form CHG-1, CHG-4 & CHG-9) under Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008 till 31st August, 2021. Another circular is issued to exempt the period between 01.04.2021 to 31.07.2021 while calculating the timeline for creation or modification of charges.
MCA extends the timeline for filing forms by Companies and LLPs
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the timeline for filing of all forms (except Form CHG-1, CHG-4 & CHG-9) under Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008 till 31st August, 2021.
EGMs can be held through Video Conference or OAVM or postal Ballot
Ordinary and special resolutions can be passed in EGMs held through VC or OAVM or postal Ballot till 31st December, 2021.
Companies (Accounting Standards) Rules, 2021
A small and Medium Sized Company, as per the revised criteria, shall have turnover not exceeding two hundred and fifty crore rupees and borrowings less than fifty crore rupees.
