The Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Amendment) Order, 2021
The amendment provides that the Stock limit applicable to wholesaler will also apply to importers for stocks held in stock / imported prior to 15th May 2021. For stocks imported after 15th May 2021, stock limit applicable to wholesaler, will apply after 45 days from date of customs clearance.
DGFT extends the period of modification of IEC till 31st July 2021.
An IEC holder has to ensure that details in its IEC is updated electronically every year, during April-June period. However, for the current year only, this period is extended by another month i.e. till 31st July, 2021. In cases where there are no changes in IEC details same also needs to be confirmed online.

Government of Rajasthan has reduced the customs tariff rate for imported goods useful for handling the Covid-19 outbreak including Medical Grade Oxygen, Remdesvir, Covid-19 testing kits, Inflammatory Diagnostic (marker) kits, hand Sanitizer, helmets for use with non-invasive ventilation, Gas/Electric/other furnaces and Pulse Oximeter to 2.5%.
DGFT places Remdesivir injection export policy under the restricted Category.
The export of Remdesivir injections and APIs against the Advance Authorization shall no longer require a separate export authorisation or permission as, under the revised policy, the drug has been moved from ‘prohibited’ to ‘restricted’ category.
Ministry of Commerce issued scheme guidelines for Production Linked Incentive Scheme for White Goods (Air Conditioners and LED Lights) manufacturers in India.
The tenure of the scheme shall be from financial year 2021-2022 to financial year 2028-29 and the scheme shall extend incentive ranging from 4-6% on net incremental sales of eligible products over the sale of eligible products in the base year.

The anti-dumping duty for import of Methyl Acetoacetate from China produced by Nantong Acetic
Acid Chemical Co., Ltd. shall be at the rate of 0.277. The anti-dumping duty for import of Methyl Acetoacetate from any country produced by any entity other than Nantong Acetic Acid Chemical Co., Ltd. shall be at the rate of 0.404.
