CBIC notifies measures for easing availability of containers for exporters.
The field officers shall take proactive steps so that the containers housing import cargo that is under enquiry are expeditiously released. For this, provision already exists that whenever it becomes necessary to detain the imported cargo, pending completion of enquiry/investigation, such cargo should be removed to a customs warehouse in terms of the provisions of Section 49 of the Customs Act, 1962.
DGFT clarifies due date for import of Soya De-oiled and crushed cakes
It is hereby clarified that import consignments of Soya De-oiled and crushed cakes with bill of lading/lorry receipts issued on or before 31st October 2021 shall not be allowed by customs beyond 31st January, 2022.
CDSCO notifies the timeline for activities requiring minimum and major procedure for cargo clearance at port office.
The port officer of CDSCO shall grant NOC based on document checks within 2-3 hours and the NOC to be granted after document checks and physical inspection without involving lab-testing shall be done within 24-48 hours.
GOI revokes Customs tariff duty relaxation for oil products

Revised import policy for mercury
The import and export of mercury shall be subject to prior informed consent of national focal point of Minamata Convention.
Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2021
The authorized sea
carrier shall continue to deliver the cargo declaration in Form III of the Import Manifest (Vessels) Regulations, 1971 and Form I of the Export Manifest (Vessels) Regulations, 1976, in the manner as was applicable before the commencement of these regulations, till 30th September, 2021.

International Financial Leasing Centre (IFSC) based Aircraft Leasing Entity is allowed to import aircraft and helicopters without obtaining import license from DGFT.
Government of Punjab amends the detailed schemes and operational guidelines, 2018
The amended guidelines provides that the value of a plant and machinery in case of imported machinery shall include custom duty, insurance paid, freight charges, installation charges and CIF value. Freight charges and installation charges shall be limited to 10% of base price.
Further relaxation of customs duty and health cess for products used to combat Covid-19
The Ministry of Finance has extended the exemption given to customs duty and health cess for products used to combat Covid-19 till 30th September, 2021.
Anti-dumping duty on imports of Uncoated Copier Paper
The anti-dumping duty shall remain in force up to and inclusive of the 28th January, 2022, unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier.
