DGFT grants relaxation on submission of ‘bill of export’ to SEZ units in case of EPCG authorization.
Accordingly, for the purpose of discharge of export obligation under EPCG Authorizations, in case of supplies made to SEZ units prior to 01.04.2015, the exporters can submit corroborative evidence in lieu of’ Bill of Exports’

ECGC introduces new scheme providing enhanced export credit risk insurance cover up to 90% for small exporters.
The enhanced cover under this scheme shall be available for manufacturer- exporters availing fund-based export credit working capital limit up to ₹ 20 crore (i.e., total Packaging Credit and Post Shipment limit per exporter/exporter-group) excluding the Gems, Jewellery & Diamond sector and merchant exporters/traders.

DGFT imposes ban on import of human embryo.
The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, defines ART to include all techniques which tries to obtain pregnancy by handling sperm outside the human body and then transferring the embryo into reproductive system of a woman. Some of the ART services are- in-vitro-fertilization, gamete donation, and gestational surrogacy.
CBDT issues exemption for SEZs
The exemption shall come into force on July 20,2022.
DGFT clarifies the procedure for obtaining approval of Inter Ministerial Committee for export of wheat flour
The exporters of Atta shall submit a request to IMC in Form ANF 2N application format online along with purchase order, documentary evidence for ANC 22000 compliance and processing fee of Rs. 1000. It is also clarified that requests send as mail or hard copy will not be accepted.
Paper Import Monitoring System (PIMS) to come into effect from 1st October, 2022.
The PIMS shall be applicable on import by a Domestic Territory Area unit on a wide range of paper products covering 201 tariff lines, such as newsprint, handmade paper, coated paper, uncoated paper, Litho and offset paper, tissue paper, toilet paper, cartons, labels, etc. However, paper products like currency paper, bank bond and Cheque paper, security printing paper, etc. have been excluded from mandatory registration.
DGFT revises the registration time period of Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS).
As per the revised policy, the importer can apply for registration not earlier than 60th day before the expected date of arrival of import consignment.
DGFT amends export policy of wheat flour.
Export Policy of wheat flour (atta) remains ‘Free’, but export shall be subject to recommendation of Inter Ministerial Committee (IMC) on export of wheat.
