MoEFCC has now decided to omit the requirement that orders for supply of genset be displayed on the websites of the genset and genset engine manufacturers before 31st July, 2023 from its prior Office Memorandum.

The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) had requested the manufacturers of genset and genset engines to submit details of orders to the CPCB. The CPCB has now published the format for submission of details of confirmed purchase or supply orders.
BIS revises Standards for Various Textiles and Other Products
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued revised 33 standards for various types of textiles. It has also established a new standard; IS 18266 : 2023 Textiles — Medical Respirator — Specification.

BIS revises standards for Iron Pipes and Aluminium Alloy Tubes and Rods
The notification has introduced 3 standards. All of these standards have been established on 19th June, 2023. The previous version of these standards will stand withdrawn on 19th December, 2023.
MoEFCC requests Genset and Genset Engine Manufacturers to submit Order details
The MoEFCC has decided that the exemption from revised standards for genset and genset engines will be available only if the prescribed conditions are fulfilled.
Draft Chandigarh Energy Conservation Building Code, 2023
The Code is applicable to buildings or building complexes that have a connected load of 50 kW or greater or
a contract demand of 60 kVA or the plot area of building is equal to or more than 1000 sqm or the built up
area of building is equal two or more than 2000 sqm (excluding non-conditioned spaces in basement)
greater and are intended to be used for commercial purposes. Buildings intended for private residential
purposes only are not covered by the Code.
Notice for removal of difficulties in the implementation of the EPR Guidelines for Plastic Packaging
Provisions for accounting of plastic packaging sold by producers to unregistered brand owners, for assessment of EPR target, have been made on the EPR portal. Provisional EPR target shall be generated at the time of registration. The final EPR target shall be provided during the annual return filing based on provision of complete details of sale to unregistered brand owners. This facility is available to producers who register on the EPR portal up till 30th June, 2023.
