The Telangana government introduce Early Bird Scheme benefit of 5% rebate to those paying property tax, for the Financial Year 2020-21, provided the Property Tax is paid for the entire financial year, together with the arrear dues, if any, on or before 31-05-2020.
Ministry of power publishes draft electricity amendment bill
The Ministry of Power has issued the Draft Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2020 which seeks to increase private participation and to strengthen payment security mechanism and establish Electricity Contract Enforcement Authority who has sole authority to adjudicate matters related to specific performance of contracts related to purchase or sale of power, between power generation companies and distribution companies.

The Government of West Bengal publishes The West Bengal Lifts, Escalators and Travelators Act, 2019.
The Government of West Bengal vide notification dated 10th January, 2020, has published the West Bengal Lifts, Escalators and Travelators Act, 2019 by repealing the old West Bengal Lifts and Escalators Act, 1955.The Act regulates the installation, maintenance and safe working of lift and escalators and all machinery and apparatus pertaining in the state of west Bengal. The new act, in addition to the above, brings travelators within its ambit.

The Reserve Bank of India vide its notification dated 7th February 2020 has revised the guidelines for Deferment of Commencement of Commercial Operations (DCCO) in non-infrastructure and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) projects. The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has issued an order dated 24th January, 2020 to declare the date of coming into effect of the Acetic Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2019. The above-said order shall come into effect from 3rd August 2020.
Buildings measuring 70mtrs and above in the state of Telangana to be inspected regarding compliance with special parameters.
The Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department in its Circular dated 16th December 2019, has directed all the inspecting officers to verify the specific parameters for those buildings measuring 70 Mtrs and above in height which must be in accordance with Andhra Pradesh Building Rules, 2012 and National Building code of India 2016 and to submit the inspection reports for the same.
