The government of Andhra Pradesh imposes City Level Infrastructure Impact Fees on large projects/buildings.
In order to encourage the Housing activity and construction industry in the State, the payment of City Level Infrastructure Impact Fees is allowed in six (6) equated interest-free installments within a period of three (3) years.

The Central Government fixes 14th March 2020 as the date on which the Acetone (Quality Control) Order, 2020 will come into force
Prior to the present amendment Order, the Acetone Order was set to come into force 91 days after its publication (i.e. 15th September 2020). However, by virtue of the present amendment Order, this date has been extended to 14th March 2021. The Indian standard prescribes the minimum purity of Acetone. The locally manufactured or imported Acetone shall conform to the Indian standard (IS 170:2004, reaffirmed 2015). It is also required to bear the standard mark under license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

The Amendment brings in a new definition for the term licensed architect/Structural Engineer/ Engineer/ Supervisor/ Town Planner/ Fire Engineer/ Group which means, respectively any qualified architect/ structural engineer/ engineer/ supervisor/ town planner/ fire engineer/ group who, where necessary, has been licensed as such by the Authority.
Government of Chandigarh publishes Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) Amendment 2020
The Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) Amendment 2020 specifies that the amalgamation of two or more adjoining Residential plots with the same ownership having contiguous zoned area shall be permitted, subject to the condition that the sites to be amalgamated shall fall under the same ownership.
The government of Gujarat has revised the fees for registration of boilers
The fees for registration of firms manufacturing Boilers in the state of Gujarat shall be calculated on the basis of rating and shall be levied in accordance with the scale given under the amended Rules.
Punjab Industry Minister announces a one-time amnesty scheme for unregistered boilers.
The boiler owners shall produce valid documents issued by the respective authorities and will have to pay the nominal fee along with the loss to state govt. in terms of the inspection fee, for the period of default.
The Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor, and Temperature Sensing Controls Order shall be in force from 1st January 2021
The goods or articles like room air conditioners, ducted and package air conditioners, hermetic compressor, temperature sensing control devices shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau as per Scheme I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standard (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
Union Minister for MSME examines request to register Retailers and Building and Construction Professionals as MSMEs
The Union Minister for MSMEs and Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari through the press release on 09 May 2020 has assured the Retailers Association of India and Practicing Engineers, Architects and Town Planners Association (India) that their request for registering as MSMEs will be examined.
