The government of Kerala notifies one-time settlement special scheme.
The scheme shall be open to those cases where revenue recovery action is initiated and for those who have challenged the dues before courts subject to condition that such arrears have arisen as a result of bills raised prior to 1st January 2019.
Government of Karnataka Publishes Draft Karnataka Renewable Energy Policy 2021-2026.
The objective of the policy is to facilitate development of 20 GW of RE projects with or without energy storage systems in the State, including 2 GW of Rooftop solar PV projects and to attract investment in the RE sector and development of State economy.
The Goa Regularisation of Unauthorized Construction (Amendment) Act, 2021.
The Amendment is brought under section 3(5) which specifies the eco-sensitive zone in which a new proviso has been introduced, which states that the authorized officer may entertain any application under sub-section (1), if the unauthorized construction falls within the limits of the area covered under Settlement Zone Institutional Zone or Industrial Zone, Cultivable Zone, ORCHARD.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry publishes Boiler Operation Rules, 2021.
Any person, who does not possess a certificate of proficiency as a Boiler Operation Engineer under these rules, shall not be deemed to be a fit and proper person to hold the charge of any boiler or boilers.

Government of Karnataka Publishes Karnataka Municipalities (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021.
The ordinance amends section 101 which deals with description and class of property tax in which under sub-section 3 the Municipal Council shall, fix the property tax at such percentage of the taxable capital value of the buildings having regard to the location, type of construction of the building, nature of use to which the building is put, age of the building and such other criteria as may be prescribed.
Government of Punjab published guidelines for groundwater extraction and conservation.
Draft Guidelines cover the commercial and industrial use of groundwater, including institutions, construction and infrastructure projects and contain the Charges to be levied on a volumetric basis for the extraction of groundwater.
Draft Electricity (Late Payment Surcharge) Rules, 2020.
Late payment surcharge will be applicable on the payments outstanding after the due date at the applicable bank rate for supply or transmission of power.
