The Bureau of Indian Standards vide notification dated 4th March, 2022 has issued the Bureau of Indian Standards (Hallmarking) Amendment Regulations, 2022. The BIS has provided revised Hallmarking fee for following articles:
- Gold articles payable to recognised Assaying and Hallmarking Centres by jewellers.
- Hallmarking fee to be levied by the Bureau from Assaying and Hallmarking Centre for gold articles.
- Silver articles payable to recognised Assaying and Hallmarking Centres by jewellers.
- Hallmarking fee to be levied by the Bureau from Assaying and Hallmarking Centre for silver articles.
