Bureau of Energy Efficiency exempts tippers from BS-VI emission norms.

The Central Government in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency on 29th March, 2022 has clarified the following:

1. For the vehicles having Gross Vehicle Weight ranging between 3.5 tonnes and 7.5 tonnes and complying with BS-VI emission norms the norms shall apply by multiplying correction factor „1.05
2. For the vehicles having Gross Vehicle Weight ranging between 7.5 tonnes and 12 tonnes and complying with BS-VI emission norms the norms shall apply by multiplying correction factor 1.

Tippers shall be exempted from the compliance of these norms.
