BOPT Eastern Region Issues Notification for Uploading RoP for CoP Generation on NATS 2.0 Portal

On January 10, 2025, the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) Eastern Region issued a crucial notification to all establishments and Third Party Agent (TPA) partners in the Eastern Region registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).

This update pertains to the process of uploading the Record of Proficiency (RoP) on the NATS 2.0 portal for the generation of the Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) for apprentices.

Key Points from the Notification:

CoP Generation Facility Active: The CoP generation feature is now active on the NATS 2.0 portal. This means that once apprentices complete their apprenticeship training, establishments are required to upload the RoP in the portal.

Upload Requirement: All establishments must ensure that the RoP for apprentices who have already completed their apprenticeship training—or for those who complete their training in the future—are uploaded promptly onto the NATS 2.0 portal. This is necessary for the apprentices to be able to download their CoPs.

Action for Apprentices: The CoP, once generated, serves as an official certificate recognizing the completion of apprenticeship training and the skills gained during the process.

    Why is This Important?

The timely uploading of RoP ensures that apprentices can receive their CoP, which is an essential document for showcasing their proficiency and skills to future employers. Establishments must ensure this process is followed diligently to avoid any delays in the certification of their apprentices.
