BIS Revises Standards On Cast Iron, Metallic Materials and Human Resource Management

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards on Microstructure Of Cast Iron, Rice Milling Yield, Cultivation Structures, Metallic Materials And Human Resource Management. These notifications were published on June 26, 2024.

The BIS has revised standards on the following:

  • Method for Determination of Sample Size to Estimate the Average Quality of a Lot or Process (First Revision)
  • Surface Covered Cultivation Structures Glossary of Terms (First Revision)
  • Human Resource Management Guidelines on Recruitment (First Revision)

These standards were established on June 6, 2024 and their previous version will be withdrawn from July 6, 2024.

BIS has also introduced new standards on the following:

  • Microstructure of Cast Iron Part 3 Matrix Structures (First Revision)
  • Rice — Determination of the Potential Milling Yield from Paddy and from Husked Rice
  • Metallic Materials — Sheet and Strip Earing Test

These standards were also established on June 6, 2024

The BIS has revised standards on Guide and Rubbing Ropes Specification (Second Revision). This revised standard has been established on June 6, 2024 and their previous version will be withdrawn from September 6, 2024.

Additionally, BIS has also revised standards on BIS has revised standards Assessment of Biodegradability of Plastics in Varied Conditions (Revised). This revised standard has been established on June 13, 2024 and their previous version will be withdrawn from July 13, 2024.
