The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued revised 33 standards for various types of textiles.
The BIS has also revised the following standards:
- IS 12370 (Part 5) : 2023/ISO 4126-5 : 2013 Safety Devices for Protection Against Excessive Pressure Part 5 Controlled Safety Pressure Relief Systems (CSPRS) (Second Revision)
- IS 12258 : 2023 Technical Supply Condition for Air Screw Compressors (Oil-Flooded) for General Purpose and Industrial Applications (First Revision)
- IS 5544 : 2023 Hot Food Cabinets for Use with LPG — Specification (First Revision)
It has also established a new standard; IS 18266 : 2023 Textiles — Medical Respirator — Specification.
All of these standards have been established on 23rd June, 2023.
It is pertinent to note that the previous versions of these standards will stand withdrawn on 23rd July, 2023.
