The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued new certain standards for Testing Tar and Bituminous Materials, Refractory Materials & Zinc and Lead Concentrates. These notifications were published on April 9, 2024.
The notified revised standards are on the following:
- Methods for Testing Tar and Bituminous Materials
- Textiles — Silk Yarn and Fabrics — Determination of Degumming Loss (First Revision)
These standards were established on March 26, 2024. The previous versions of these standards will be withdrawn from April 25, 2024.
The BIS has also withdrawn the following new standards:
- Methods of Sampling and Physical Tests for Refractory Materials
- Methods of Sampling Zinc and Lead Concentrates
- Low Carbon High Strength Cold Rolled Steel Sheets and Coils for Cold Forming — Specification
These standards were stand withdrawn from April 2, 2024.
