The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Petroleum Products. This notification was published on 11th September, 2023.
The BIS has also revised the following standards:
- IS 1448 (Part 13) : 2023 Petroleum and its Products — Methods of Test Part 51 Copper Strip Corrosion Test for Lubricating Greases (First Revision)
- IS 1448 (Part 62) : 2023 Petroleum and its Products — Methods of Test Part 62 Heat Stability of Greases (Second Revision)
- IS 1448 (Part 64) : 2023 Petroleum and its Products — Methods of Test Part 64 Non-volatile Matter in Solvents (Second Revision
It has also established two new standards; IS 18387 : 2023 Gypsum Ceiling Tiles — Specification and IS/ISO 22383 : 2020 Security and Resilience — Authenticity, Integrity and Trust for Products and Documents — Guidelines for the Selection and Performance Evaluation of Authentication Solutions for Material Goods.
All of these standards have been established on 5th September, 2023.
It is pertinent to note that the previous versions of these standards will stand withdrawn on 5th October, 2023.
