The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Package Units, Coffee Seed Storage, Methods for Sensory Evaluation, Hygienic Conditions for Sugar Factories and Preferred Pressures for Pneumatic Tools and Machines. This notification was published on November 30, 2023.
The revised standards are as follows:
- IS 16590 : 2023 Liquid Chilling Package Units — Specification (First Revision)
- IS 6399 : 2023 Construction of Coffee Seed Storage Structures — Code of Practice (First Revision)
- IS 8105 : 2023 Method for Sensory Evaluation of Pungency of Black Pepper by Scoville Heat Units (First Revision)
- IS 11582 : 2023 Method for Sensory Evaluation of Pungency of Ginger by Scoville Units (First Revision)
- IS 11609 : 2023 Technical Supply Conditions for Pneumatic Tools (First Revision)
- IS 12520 : 2023 Recommendations for Preferred Pressures for Pneumatic Tools and Machines (First Revision)
- IS 14350 : 2023 Code for Hygienic Conditions for Sugar Factories (First Revision)
- IS 15899 : 2023/ISO 16609 : 2022 Financial Services — Requirements for Message Authentication Using Symmetric Techniques (Second Revision)
All of these standards have been established on November 21, 2023.
The previous version of the standard on Liquid Chilling Package Units — Specification is withdrawn from February 21, 2024. However, all previous versions of other standards mentioned herein stand withdrawn from December 21, 2023.
