BIS Revises Standards for Dentistry, Ophthalmic Instruments and Medical Electrical Equipment

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Dentistry, Ophthalmic Instruments and Medical Electrical Equipment. These notifications were published on May 7, 2024.

The notified revised standards are on the following aspects:

  • Biotechnology

These standards were established on April 22, 2024. The previous versions of these standards will be withdrawn from May 22, 2024.

  • Dentistry
  • Limits and Methods of Measurement of Radio Disturbance Characteristics
  • Methods of Sampling and Test for Resins for Paints
  • Radionuclides in Environmental Samples
  • Natural Gas

These standards were established on April 22, 2024. The previous versions of these standards will be withdrawn from May 22, July 22 or July 29, 2024 as the case may be.

  • Information Technology
  • Cybersecurity
  • Glass Thermometers for Precision Use
