The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain new standards for Gas Storage Devices, Fuel Cell Road Vehicles and Fueling Stations. These notifications were published in December 2023.
The new standards on Gaseous Hydrogen are as follows:
- Fuelling Stations Part 3 Valves
- Fuelling Stations Part 5 Dispenser Hoses and Hose Assemblies
- Fuelling Stations Part 8 Fuel Quality Control
These standards stand established on December 18, 2023.
Furthermore, it has also introduced the following standards:
- Gas Cylinders — Flexible Hoses Assemblies — Specification and Testing
- Fuel Cell Road Vehicles — Safety Specifications — Protection Against Hydrogen Hazards for Vehicles Fuelled with Compressed Hydrogen
- Transportable Gas Storage Devices —Hydrogen Absorbed in Reversible Metal Hydride
The above standards stand established on December 12, 2023.
