The CDSCO has stated that in the month of March 2024 it received 612 samples and tested 931 samples. Among these samples, it observed that 66 samples did not possess standard quality and identified 1 sample as misbranded.

Food Businesses Get Final Reminder on Annual Returns

All manufacturers (including re-packers and re-labelers), importers and manufacturer-exporters shall mandatorily file the annual return for the financial year 2023-2024. The last date for the submission of the annual return is May 31, 2024. Submitting after this date incurs a penalty.

Deadline Extended for Nursing Schools to Renew Suitability

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has extended the deadline for nursing educational institutions to renew their suitability for the 2024-2025 academic year. The INC portal will reopen for application submissions from April 20, 2024, to May 6, 2024. A late fee will be applicable for applications submitted during this time.

Applications Open for NEET-PG 2024

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has begun accepting applications for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Courses (NEET-PG) 2024. Applications can be submitted online only through the NBEMS website from April 16, 2024 (3 PM onwards) to May 6, 2024 (11:55 PM)

PCI Reiterates Its Exclusive Authority To Conduct Exit Examinations

It has come to the notice of the PCI that Srimanta Shankardev University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has issued a notification for conducting an Exit Examination for all students who already graduated with a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree. Therefore PCI has issued a public notice categorically stating that it is the sole prescribed authority empowered to conduct Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examinations.

BIS Withdraws Series of Standards From March 26th, 2024

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has withdrawn several standards effective from March 16, 2024. This notification was dated April 9, 2024. These standards include Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices, Guide for Evaluation of Medical Devices for Biological Hazards, Internal Fuses and Internal Overpressure Disconnectors for Capacitors for Inductive Heat Generating Plants, etc

Rules For Competitive Examination For Combined Medical Services

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has released the rules and eligibility criteria for the upcoming Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2024.
