Government of Kerala after considering the objections and suggestions received on the draft proposals published as notification No.LBRD-E1/112/2022-LBRD. dated 3rd April, 2023 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1315 dated 11th April, 2023 as required under clause (b) of the said Act and in consultation with the Minimum Wages Advisory Board constituted under the said Act, hereby revise the minimum rates of wages payable to the classes of employees employed in the Coir Industry sector in the State of Kerala, as specified in the schedule annexed hereto and fix the date of publication of this notification in the Gazette as the date from which the revised rates shall come into force.

Draft on Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Actuarial, Finance and Investment Functions of insurers) Regulations, 2024

The main objective of the proposed draft regulations is to ensure that sound and responsive management practices are in place for effective discharge of actuarial, finance and investment functions and analysis, covering the areas including but not limited to the valuation of assets and liabilities, regulatory reporting, bonus distribution, asset-liability management, solvency, investment and risk management. It will also enable insurers to promote ease of doing business, to improve insurance penetration and to enhance the protection of policyholders’ interest.

Telangana State Aviation Academy entered into an MoU with NRSC

Telangana State Aviation Academy entered into an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) to provide advanced training for Drone Pilots. The NRSC is one of the primary centers of ISRO – Indian Space Research Organization. Telangana Aviation Academy CEO and NRSC Director signed the agreement in the presence of Chief Minister of Telangana. A 15-day tailored program on data analysis, processing, and mapping will be held for NRSC scientists and drone operators at the TSAA.

The Tamil Nadu Forest department launched its ambitious Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning enabled surveillance system to prevent death of elephants on railway tracks on 9th february2024. The project was launched-by the Minister for Forest in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Chief Wildlife Warden on 09.02.2024 at Coimbatore District.

The Fifth Amendment to Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Tariff for Wheeling and Retail Sale of Electricity) Regulation, 2005

The erstwhile APERC (Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission) of the undivided Andhra Pradesh State notified the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Tariff for Wheeling and Retail Sale of Electricity) Regulation, 2005 (Regulation 4 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as “the Principal Regulation”) which was published in the AP Extraordinary Gazette on 14.11.2005. The first amendment to the Principal Regulation was notified in the AP Extraordinary Gazette on 07.03.2014 (Regulation 1 of 2014) by the erstwhile APERC.
