NPPA extends price cap on liquid medical oxygen and oxygen inhalation up to March, 2022.

As per the earlier notification, medical oxygen’s price has been fixed at Rs. 15.22 per cubic meter (exclusive of GST) at manufactures’ end and its price at fillers’ end has been fixed at Rs. 25.71 per cubic meter, subject to transportation cost fixation at state level. Due to excess demand, delivery through cylinders has increased from 11% pre-Covid to 50% of current oxygen supply.

Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Exits and Withdrawals under the National Pension System) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2021

Subscriber shall have an option to exit from the National Pension System at any point of time and frequency by submitting a request to National Pension System Trust or any intermediary or entity authorized by the Authority for this purpose. In case of death of subscriber during the period of deferment, such deferred amount of the subscriber shall be paid in the preferential order of nominee.

University Grants Commission (Establishment and Operation of Academic Bank of Credits in Higher Education) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021

The amendment provides that all Universities in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, a Provincial Act or a State Act; the institutions Deemed-to be Universities declared as such by University Grants Commission the Autonomous Colleges and or Institutions of National Importance as declared by Government of India are eligible to register with Academic Bank of Credits.

SEBI Board approves amendments to LODR regulations.

The Board approved a proposal to introduce provisions in the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements)Regulations, 2015 (“LODR Regulations”/ “LODR”) relating to appointment or re-appointment of persons who fail to get elected as directors, including as Whole-time directors or Managing Directors or Managers, at the general meeting of a listed entity.
