UGC directs all Academic Institutions to accept documents published in DigiLocker as valid.

The Digital locker platform of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has the facility to pull students’ degree marksheet and other documents into the issued documents section in an electronic form once uploaded through the DigiLocker NAD(National Academic Depository) platform by the original issuer. These electronic records available on DigiLocker platform are valid documents as per the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Government of Bihar notifies the stock limits for edible oils.

On October 10, 2021 the Department of Food and Public Distribution imposed stock limits on edible oils and oilseeds up to March 31, 2022. Accordingly, the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Amendment) Order, 2021 was issued.

RBI revises definition of Small Business Customers

The amendment has directed Commercial Banks other than Regional Rural Banks, Local Area Banks and Payments Banks shall refer to RBI Master Circular on Basel III Capital Regulations dated July 1, 2015, for the definition of Small Business Customers.

RBI releases “Eligibility criteria for entities to be categorised as Specified User under clause (j) of Regulation 3 of the Credit Information Companies (Amendment) Regulations, 2021”

As per the requirements, a ‘specified user’ should be a company incorporated in India or a statutory corporation established in the country. The governing statute of the Statutory Corporation or Memorandum of Association of the Company, as the case may be, should allow the business/activity of processing of information for the support or benefit of credit institutions.

MoHFW issues revised guidelines for home isolation of mild /asymptomatic COVID-19 cases.

As per the guidelines, patient should be clinically assigned as mild/ asymptomatic case by the treating Medical Officer. Further a designated control room contact number at the district /sub district level shall be provided to the family to get suitable guidance for undertaking testing, clinical management related guidance, assignment of a hospital bed, if warranted.
