Government takes several initiatives to enhance collaboration between small business and e-commerce platforms.

Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) has actively engaged with various large e-commerce platforms to onboard artisans and handicraftsmen, including those engaged in manufacture of Geographical Indication (GI) goods and toys. Further, under the One District – One Product (ODOP) initiative, drives have been conducted across various States, facilitating on-boarding of sellers of identified products on e-Commerce platforms to provide greater visibility for small businesses from rural sector.

Government of Goa imposes restrictions on liquor sale for the period between 12th February 2022 to 10th March 2022.

The licensed premises having licence for Bar and Restaurant may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only and the Bar counter shall be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to be served on the above mentioned days. The owner of the licensed premises having Bar & Restaurant shall also display a board in the premises stating that no liquor will be served and that only the restaurant is open for serving food.

GSTN deploys module vise new functionalities on the GST portal for Taxpayers.

These functionalities pertain to different modules such as Registration, Returns, Advance Ruling, Payment, Refund and other miscellaneous topics. Various webinars are also conducted as well informational videos prepared on these functionalities and posted on GSTNs dedicated YouTube channel for the benefit of the stakeholders.

RBI Cautions against unauthorised forex trading platforms.

RBI cautions the public not to undertake forex transactions on unauthorised ETPs or remit/deposit money for such unauthorised transactions. Resident persons undertaking forex transactions for purposes other than those permitted under the FEMA or on ETPs not authorised by the RBI shall render themselves liable for penal action under the FEMA.
