Central Government commences operation of Inland Vessels Act, 2021

The Act shall govern all mechanically propelled vessels registered or registered in such laws in force in any country other than India; but endorsed or recognised under this Act for the purpose of plying within inland waterways, special category vessels plying or using inland waterways and all non-mechanically propelled inland vessels.

Government of Goa extends the last date for filing audited statement of accounts to 28th February 2022.

As per section 70 of Goa Value Added Taxes Act, 2005 Every dealer liable to pay tax shall, if his gross turnover of sales exceed rupees one crore in any year, or in any other case, if the amount of Input Tax Credit claimed by him in any year exceeds rupees 10 lakhs, get his accounts in respect of such year audited by an accountant within nine months from the end of that year and furnish within that period the report of such audit in the prescribed form duly signed and verified by such accountant and setting forth such particulars and certificates as may be prescribed.

The Central Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022.

After one year from the date of publication of the Central Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022, the driver of a motorcycle shall ensure the safety measures while carrying a child between the age of nine months and four years, on the vehicle as a pillion.
