BIS has made provision to allow a common consumer to get the purity of their unhallmarked gold jewellery tested.
The AHC shall undertake the testing of gold jewellery from common consumers on priority and provide a test report to the consumer. The test report issued to the consumer will assure the consumer about the purity of their jewellery and will also be useful if the consumer wishes to sell the jewellery lying with him.

RBI has laid down a cost free grievance redress mechanism under RB-IOS which does not involve payment of fees or charges in any form or manner. The Karnataka Educational Institutions (Classification and Registration) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
The amendment is brought under rule 3(3)(a) which provides that Registration and processing fee once paid shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of payment.
