Ministry of Commerce & Industry extends the Foreign Trade policy for six months.
The new five year Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20 provides a framework for increasing exports of goods and services as well as generation of employment and increasing value addition in the country, in keeping with the “Make in India” vision of Prime Minister. The focus of the new policy is to support both the manufacturing and services sectors, with a special emphasis on improving the ‘ease of doing business’.

Every fertilizer testing laboratories specified or notified by the State Government shall be required to obtain the accreditation of the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories within a period of one years from 28th day of September, 2022.
DGFT extends deadline for export of broken rice
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade earlier allowed rice exports till 15 September, if loading began prior to the order, and in cases where the shipping bill has been filed and vessels have arrived at their destination. This deadline was extended till 30 September, 2022 and is now further extended till October 15, 2022.
Ministry of Power notifies the energy consumption standards for star labelled household refrigerators.
There shall be a label affixed on refrigerator which shall display a maximum of five stars with an interval of one star based on their relative annual energy consumption. The refrigerator shall be rated from star one to star five based on their Annual Energy Consumption and which complies with the Annual Energy Consumption requirements.
