NMC notifies the Establishment of Medical College Regulations, (Amendment), 2022
The amendment revises the “Qualifying Criteria” for establishing a medical college. It states that the requirement of ‘fully functional hospital for a minimum period of 2 years’ shall not apply to Universities or deemed to be universities who meet prescribed conditions.
UGC invites Feedback from stakeholders on draft guidelines for Training of Faculty on “Indian Knowledge System (IKS)”

The PCI issues notice for Effective Management of the Appeal Process for the 2022- 23 Academic Session
The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a notice of the decisions taken by its 384th Executive Committee. The notice elucidates that the decisions are being reflected on the Council’s website. NMC Invites Comments on the proposed draft for inclusion of Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) in Medical Colleges
The proposed amendment seeks to compulsorily implement an Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) of National Information Centre (NIC). It will be applicable to faculties, tutors, demonstrators and senior residents. The propsed amendment also states that in the absence of AEBAS, renewals, recognition or continuation thereof, increase in seats, establishment of new medical colleges or new PG course will not be permitted.

ASD is a chronic condition with onset in early childhood, with core symptoms that often persist throughout the lifespan. However, its manifestations and severity may vary from person to person, and with age. Diagnosis is based on meticulous history, careful clinical evaluation by an expert supplemented by standardised checklists, rating scales and interviews. There is no “specific test” or physical investigation to diagnose ASD. Early diagnosis is imperative for developing an early intervention strategy in ASD.
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022
The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Regulatory Sandbox) Regulations, 2019 to increase the experimental period of the Regulatory Sandbox from existing six (6) months to up to 36 months.
