NSE notifies on Display of Details of Client Bank Accounts on Websites

The notification advises members to display details of all their active client bank accounts on their website which are reported to Exchange, on Enhanced Supervision of Stock Brokers. This intends to bring greater transparency in the dealings between the clients and the stock brokers and foster investor awareness.

EPFO declares Productivity Linked Bonus for Employees

The Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has issued a notification regarding the declaration of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for the employees of the EPFO. The Central Government has approved the payment of the PLB for the year 2021-22 for 60 (Sixty) days in all the offices of EPFO. This is subject to a maximum of Rs. 13,816 .

RBI issues Premature Redemption Price for Premature Redemption under SGB Scheme

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the Premature redemption under Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme – Redemption Price for premature redemption due on 4th February, 2023. The redemption price of SGB shall be based on a simple average of the closing price of gold of 999 purity, of the week (Monday-Friday), preceding the redemption date.

Meity extends timeline for feedback on the draft amendment to the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) has extended the timeline for feedback on its draft amendment to the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 relating to due diligence by an intermediary. In response to requests received from stakeholders, the Ministry has decided to extend the last date for receipt of comments on the said amendment till 20th February, 2023.

Electricity (Promoting Renewable Energy Through Green Energy Open Access) Amendment Rules, 2023

The Amendment Rules state that any consumer may elect to purchase green energy either up to a certain percentage of the consumption or its entire consumption. For this purposes, they may place a requisition with their distribution licensee. The distribution licensee shall procure such quantity of green energy and supply it. The consumer shall have the flexibility to give separate requisition for solar and non-solar.
