Government to review minimum wages every five years
The government has taken measures to monitor compliance in respect of minimum wages rate, such as publicity of minimum rates of wages in the Chief Labour Commissioner (CLC) websites, display of minimum rates of wages by contractors at work sites/places, and display of minimum rates of wages by principal employers in their websites.
PENCIL portal being used for effective enforcement of Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act
The Government has also developed an online portal PENCIL (Platform for Effective Enforcement of No Child Labour) for effective enforcement of CALPR Act. The portal has also a complaint corner for registering the complaint regarding child labour.

Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan (PM-SYM) scheme to provide old age pension to unorganized sector workers
In order to provide old age protection, the Government of India launched Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme in 2019. It provides monthly pension of Rs. 3000/- after attaining the age of 60 years. The workers in the age group of 18-40 years whose monthly income is Rs. 15000/- or less and not a member of EPFO/ESIC/NPS (Govt. funded) can join the PM-SYM Scheme.
NSE publicises certain Norms issued by SEBI
It may be recalled that the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had previously issued a Circular called “Common and simplified norms for processing investor’s service requests by RTAs and norms for furnishing PAN, KYC details and Nomination”. The NSE has now publicised this Circular.

Ministry of Finance clarifies on Roll out of ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ Mobile App
The Income Tax Department has launched a Mobile app, namely, ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ to facilitate taxpayers to view their information as available in the Annual Information Statement (AIS) / Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS). ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ is a mobile application provided free of cost by the Income Tax Department, and is available on Google Play & App Store.
