CBIC clarifies on rectifiable labelling of information for imported food consignments

To facilitate ease of trade while ensuring the safety of food imported into India, all non compliant labels on imported food consignment may be permitted for rectification at port itself. This rectification has to be carried out at Customs bound warehouse, before visual inspection or re-inspection by the Authorised Officer or his representative, by affixing a single non- detachable sticker or by any other non-detachable method.

CBIC clarifies on Implementation of origin procedures under India-Australia ECTA

The India-Australia ECTA recognizes electronic Certificates of Origin. Hence, an e-COO, issued electronically by the Issuing bodies of Australia, is a valid document for the purpose of claiming preferential benefit under India-Australia ECTA, provided that the e-COO has been issued in the prescribed format, bears seal and signatures of the authorized Issuing body or authority and fulfills all other specified requirements.

CPCB revises ‘Guidelines for Grant of One-time Financial Support under Environment Protection Charge Funds for establishment of Pelletisation Torrefaction Plants to promote Utilisation of Paddy Straw’

New Units set up by individual entities/entrepreneurs/ companies after the issuance of these guidelines who will be using only paddy straw generated in the NCT of Delhi, States of Punjab & Haryana, and NCR districts of Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh, and supply pellets/torrefied pellets to Power Plants and/or Indus tries, will be eligible for availing onetime financial support under Environment Protection Charge (EPC) funds.

Bihar Tenancy (Amendment) Rules, 2023

The amendment states that any raiyat having interest on the land may file a petition for the measurement of his raiyati land. This petition shall be in form-36 and submitted to the Circle Officer of the area through offline or online medium.
